Sam believes that music is a way to obtain higher achievement in life, and every student deserves an individualized approach to learn music.

Sam believes that the most important aim in music teaching is to spark the imagination and inspire creativity in the student, thence the student will enjoy and cherish the gift of music. Sam teaches every student with a vision in mind that, twenty years after, when the student becomes a fully-grown adult, he/she would enjoy classical music, go to concerts, and make music with pleasure and ability.

As a teacher, Sam served two years as musician-in-residence at Sevenoaks School in UK from 2011 to 2013, where he held a variety of responsibilities such as piano teaching, theory teaching, exam accompanying, choral conducting and accompanying, music class teaching, ear test training, etc. He also taught piano, improvisation, theory, and history privately for more than 20 years to students of all levels from beginner to young professional and adult amateur.
